In deep water.

I assume you are not adding/moving your current bioload to this tank, the Lionfish love to snack on gobies and clowns. The skimmer is underbuilt for your new tank, seek a powerful unit rated twice as high as your system and invest wisely. Don't skimp here... you want one that's rated for a 200 plus gal system... look into the Super Skimmer by Coralife they make a 220 gal model, maybe a pair of Won Brothers, others out there, EuroReef etc.

Ok, so I skip throwing the small defensless fish in this new tank, maybe even set them up in thier own little nano-style aquarium. (maybe like a 15-20gal aquarium)
For the new tank I invest in a decent skimmer that's twice as powerfull as I really need, and skip the idea of corals/anemonies for now.
What to do with the filter? How about turning a 20gal tank into a sump? In which case, what size/strength pump would I be looking for? I kinda want to stick with a sump that will easily fit under the stand I am getting. (Standard all-glass tank stand with the middle divider in the cabinet)
I did see a HOB wet/dry filter online at drsfostersmith.com would something like that work?
