I recently picked up 6 harlequin rasboras as part of my move to smaller fish...and I'm utterly charmed by these little fish. They'd always looked simply silver and black at the LFS, but these guys have glimmering red, blue and bronze colors to go along with the silver and black. Plus, they school rather well.

Anyone else keep harlequins?

I find them to be among the most peacefull of schoolers. A full grown adult can get to 1 3/8" with a full body and great red and bronze colors. I now have five elderly harlequins left in my 20g long. They have slowed down a bit but still school together as tightly as ever.

I have always loved the look of them, but never personally owned them...whats the difficulty level of breeding them does anyone know?

i have some harlequins with another type of closely related rasboras i cant remember the name but they are awesome. they are always active and they are vicious when it comes to food!

jking Espi rasboras they're a little smaller then the harlequins.

Yes! I love them, they are by far my favorite out of the fish I have.
