I added the salt about 4 hours ago. Down at the bottom floating above the crushed coral it looks like fumes, but I know it's the salt. Do I need to stir up the salt and these salt "fumes" or will it take care of itself while the tank cycles? The salt is all disolved, it's just these funny waves of fume looking water running at the bottom. Thanks

It's just the rest of the salt dissolving. It'll go away soon.

That's where the dissolved salt is diffusing into the full volume of water. If you add some water movement, it will clear up pretty quickly. I see it in out tank when we add the fresh topoff water--the little wigglies usually are gone within about 30 seconds.

the salt wont hurt if your tank is cycling but remember when you start getting critters to premix your saltwater. adding salt to a tank with inhabatints can hurt them by burning them if landing on the skin or surface
