Interesting..

Youve taken what ccm said out of context, you cant have or make a legit argument while stating partialities because your argument concerning it is nil if put into the context of the statement that was made.

I have never seen nor heard of a fish that was extinct from the earth being brought back to live its life in a "cage".

Evolution is defined as " a process of continuous change from a lower, simpler, or worse to a higher, more complex, or better state " (mw). By taking animals, or any other form of life, that has already had its time on earth and already evolved, and putting them into the context of having something to do with future evolution is taking a step backwards. Of which I do believe would be called regression, not progression.
The article said nothing about the scientists trying to do this is what I am saying. This whole discussion about bringing back dinosaurs was created within this thread. Sure there is a captioned picture in the story that scientist could "potentially" do this but I saw nothing about them PLANNING to do this. Also, IMHO keeping ANYTHING caged or "aquariumed" be it animated or RE-animated can potentially bring about ethical issues. Most people see breeding programs to keep animals from going extinct as good things but haven't we already determined in this thread that extinction is a natural progression, so are we not already messing with the natural order of things when we take endangered animals out of their habitats to breed in captivity for what some may see as our own humanistic greed to have these animals around? Yes, the extinction of SOME animals today are caused by humans taking over and destroying their native habitats, bringing me back to humanistic greed, but would it not be easier and cheaper to not invade their habitats in the first place than to spend millions a year trying to reverse what we have already done?

CCM,you say putting something in a cage to die years later is morally wrong yet we ALL keep fish in cages that, no matter how good the care is, will eventually die. I agree that extinct animals should not be re-animated just for coolness sake, no doubt, but could this be just another step in hman evolution?

No I said creating an animal just to put in a cage is morally wrong (read that as bringing back a deceased or extinct animal)
