Is a Seaclone Skimmer basically Useless??

I have the Seaclone 150 on my 29g. I am happy with it, it produces what seems to me to be a good amount of skimmate. I don't know if a different brand would produce more or do it more efficiently but the only complaint I can clearly see with it is a tendency to dump bubbles back into the tank. Irritating but it can be fixed with a little fiddling.
