Is it ok to use a 200 w heater on a 20 high tank?

Is it ok to use this 200w heater? It's rated for a 35-55 tank.

Is it ok on a 20 high?

I'm setting up a new tank and it won't be occupied for a bit so if I need a smaller heater, I can order one.

yeah it will work fine... it will heat the water very efficiently but it will use a bit more power

I too have a 200 watt stealth on my 20 gallon. Its great.

This is a Hagen Elite. I got it on vacation on sale from a shop that was going out of business. Is it a decent heater? I have a Stealth Visatherm on my other tank.

I'm sure it's why I got home and found that little post card sized note in my bag from the Transportation Security Admin folks telling me that my bag was one of the ones selected for inspection. I put the heater right on top as I thought it would look odd on the luggage x-ray.

Visi therm are the best IMO maybe some ebo jagers are better haven't made a solid conclusion. Never used a hagen elite.

yes though it might not last as long. a higher watt heater will just turn off and on more often then a lower watt heater.
