is it possible to breed shrimp??

my brother was at the river yesterday and he brought home like 7 shrimp. they are clear and one has eggs, so i put them all in a 10 gallontank with some gravel from my 125 so the tank will not have a large cycle and a filter... does anyone know anything about breeding shrimp, or does anyone think the baby shrimp will make it if the eggs hatch???
