I have a 55 gallon aquarium and have 4 yellow labs, 4 Pseudotrophesus, 4 bumble bee cichlids, 4 red zebras, and 5 Dwarf Petricola. All my African cichlids are kept in a 1:3 male to female ratio. I heard that African cichlid aquariums should be a bit overstocked to spread out aggression. I was going to buy some colbat blue zebras but then the worker at my lfs told me I had too many fish even for a african cichlid tank. Is this true?
