is my guppy trying to commit suicide?

My male guppy keeps getting wedged between my breeder net and the aquarium wall. I know that sharks will suffocate if they can't move, would that be true for guppies as well? I'm worried about what would happen if he got trapped there overnight...

Fish can breathe even if they can't move. Your guppy probably just needs a place to hide. Do you have plants or anything for them to hide in?

I currently have a male guppy digging his nose into the gravel under my heater. I'm actually heading out tomorrow to collect rocks at the local beach and buy some more plants so he has a place to hide. He regularly wedges himself behind the heater. Its not dangerous.
