Is this a good deal?

Local thrift store has a 48 x 18 x 24 tall tank with lights/hoods (2 sections), plus HOB filter and large Whisper air pump, with solid pine cupboard stand (a pro one), all glass aquarium, I assume its a 90 gallon tank. :drool:

I'd like a bigger tank, and this looks like it only needs heaters, substrate and aquascaping...chance to get back into my beloved mbuna. $175.00 - is that a good deal? It goes down to 50% of that as of Sunday, which of course really IS a good deal, but there's always the risk that someone will buy it earlier and I'll miss out. Can't even imagine where it could go!

Sounds like a steal, especially after Sunday. The 55 gal I'm trying to get will be about 155 + tax (Comes with everything I need though) but I say wait till Sunday.

Yes, I think you're right. It would be a spur-of-the-moment buy, so if it goes, I haven't really lost out and there will be another tank of happy fish (I hope) somewhere round here. If I wait and grab it for $87.50 I would be thrilled; the stand alone must be worth more than that. Or I could try offering them $100 now and see what they say...only 3 days until Sunday, it's been there a few days already and maybe they'll take $100 rather than $87.50...hmmm. Worth trying, anyway.:grinyes:
