Don't Panic / Always Carry A Towel
On a 6 foot long tank you can expect up to an inch of expansion at the 3 foot mid mark. Seems like a lot and looks scary as all get out when you look down the length across the top and see the bow. But super geniuses with nothing better to do have figured out the stresses and tolerences so we don't have to trip out over it. If the tank never had a brace then it doesn't need one. If you add one and mess up that critical bow tolerence then you'll be an unhappy individual when that tank blows apart..not to mention the destruction it wreak upon you and yours. Fill..watch it for a few days if possible..set'r up..enjoy :thm:
