Is This skimmer any good?

Hey guys,

Ive been offered by my friend his old red sea Berlin skimmer for my 55 and i was wondering if it is any good.

They work better than a sea clown, but not a deltec. I would say it should do you fine.

jojo would you say go ahead and get it then? he said all i need is a pump which is not a problem

I do believe they are rated to 65 gallons, so if it is a deal I would grab it, unless of course you plan to have a tank that would call for a bigger skimmer (SPS, lots of preds, something that has a lot of waste or needs extra clean water)

hmmm i see, well he said the skimmer itself is $35 and i would just need a pump rated for 500-700gph
