I've just purchased 4 albino cories. Two of them are content to sniff around at the bottom, but the smaller two just swim rapidly back and forth, back and forth, at the front of the tank, near the top. Will they settle down? Do they have thoroughbred blood in their veins? Is this something some fish just do? I've just never had cories that pace back and forth like this.

Thanks.

Indeed, I have 2 Albino Cories and for the first few days did the exact same thing.

Nowdays they are busy at work scrubbing the gravel and playing tag with one another. Very cute and active fish, except the afternoons. They are most enjoyed when 2 at the very least. I was thinking of getting a new one to make a triad but I have too many bottom feeders already with 2 clown loaches and 2 glasskeeners.

Enjoy them!

Yes, I agree it sounds normal. At least twice a day I catch my albinos racing back and forth, especially when I feed them- they speedily flock underneath the filter to catch the flurry of goodies coming down. When my bronze was real small, he used to race about 95% of the time. My older bandit cory doesnt race as much, but he does enjoy tag with the younger ones once in awhile.

Very normal - they have to be the most spastic funny little fish. The littlest zooms at warp speed around the tank, while the other three attempt to swim in formation, until one bumps into another and they all zip in different directions.

yeah, some definatly act different than others. but for same reason, i have always found the albinos to be a little more crazy than the other ones. I have 7, and my 2 bronze seem like they might as well be attached, my 3 peppers always hang out onder the same plant together, but my 2 albinos are always going up and down and all around.
