I am currently going to change the diet of my Jack Dempsey. After reading alot on the forum now knowing that just granuales are not enough for him I need help deciding what I should do for his diet. I do give him blood worms. He is really good looking color wise. So what would you guys suggest for a new diet? Got a site? DIY fish food?

I feed my 6" Male Jack Dempsey Oscar Grow pellets because it's high protein, then I give him Frozen Brine Shrimp thawed for 10 minutes in hot water.

His coloration is magnificent, and he's very healthy. Once he gets bigger he will get change over to this mixture

25% Oscar Grow, 25% small cichlid stix, 50% crushed large cichlid stix.

All of it is broken down to make it easier for him to eat, so I break the Cichlid stix so He can eat them easier. This mixture causes really great coloration, as well as a varied diet of cichlid food, plus frozen brine shrimp as a treat.

Dont have a JD but all my SA cichlids get flakes, Hikari Cichlid Gold, and occassionally thawed bloodworms or brine shrimp.
