hello i had this java fern for probably 2 months and today when i went to feed the fish i noticed there were these tiny about 2cm little plants floating around the tank other palnts i have are eel grass and java moss if u have any pictures of daughter plants please let me know or if u defiately know what it is .
it has 2 little roots squiggly ones and i think about 4 leaves they just look like tiny worms not that they are tiny worms but is definately a plant

Here are some pics I took of my java fernlets. Don't mind the algae spots on the glass. >_>

I had to wait a while for my platies to stop swarming in front of my camera, but managed to get this one:

Here's another from a slightly different angle. The pink thing is just a stick I used to push the end of th fern closer to the camera:

Hopefully those are clear enough to be useful, I suck at taking pictures.

Those are definitely baby plants. Oh, oh. You have some fuzz algae on your plant as well.

Same thing happened to me (fuzz) a long time ago when I fertilized too much.

no where near looks like them lol i wonder what tmy baby plants are,... ]

oh yea ive tied them to my driftwood if thats okay for a baby java fern plant or a unknown spieces

Sounds like a hitchhiker. Java fern babies form on the leaves of the fern and usually stay attached until removed by me or a fish.

Ooops. :o

Now I see what you mean. I wasn't referring to that, but what's on the tip of the Java Fern.

I have no clue what that long fuzzy thing is.

lol kk i cant wait to see what it is.. iver had that tank for 6months and how could those hicthickers hitch? i havent put any new plants in.. hmmm

My Java Fern spits out little daughter plants like that. I think they're just little ferns.

The baby java ferns are fantastic. I bought 2 plants a year and a half ago and sometimes I take those babies and tie them to a small rock or piece of wood. Now I have fantastic bunches of java ferns in all of my aquariums.

Most of the time I just pull them out and toss them away I get so many of these now.
