I am getting ready to throw it out the window!!!
It wasnt doing well in the 20gal and ferts(1/2 WPG  )
So, I moved it to the 3 gal with 5 WPG and ferts... no different and its been allmost a month
I didnt plant it, I just let it sink to the bottom, and in the 20gal it rooten in the gravel... I dont know if that has anything to do with it

plant it then...

Java fern shouldn't be planted......either tie it to wood or rocks, or just let it sit on top of the gravel like you have it now. It is probably just adjusting to the increase in light. Pick off any dead leaves and just let it adjust....hopefully it will start looking better.

Java fern will grow rhizomes on the underside of the leaves... if these arent removed then the leaf it is on will die.

Java does not respond well to hot lights. What kind of light are you using? It is probably in shock also from the move and all the the other changes.

it is also a slow grower.

if the leaf is producing plantlets the leaf producing the plantlets dies back.

mine do best in lower light tanks. my higher light tanks it does not do well at all.

the tanks that do best are at about 1 wpg..
