Java Moss help?

So i bought some java moss, i got about 3 -2 handfulls for about 7 bucks. I planted it in my tank and there seems to be some die off any help???



Tank Details
Temp 79-82 ish
Ph: not that high ;3 havnt done anything drastic to the tank
Ammonia Nitrate nitrite : only got 1 fish in the tank and i do weekly water changes
15 watts of light, 6700k spectrum
 
java moss is more a floater, or at least 'unplanted' plant by inclination. See if, rather than sticking one end in the substrate, you can just tie it off to a branch or rock or for that matter just let if float free. And under the brightest spot you have available, up high and close to the light. It won't do anything dramatic or fast but one day you will look at the growth and say "oh holy [whatever], where did all that come from!?!"
