Jebo Lighting - has anyone used it?

do you mean the fixture or the pc bulbs? i have the jebo aquarium, and the hood with fixture for 2 pc bulbs is pretty well built, with a domed acrylic cover to prevent from moisture. only thing to check would be the plastic screw fastener which holds the fuse in place. my first set has a stripped screw which became loose and cannot secure the fuse in place, but got that replaced with no issues.

Thanks for the replys. There are tons of Jebo fixtures on Ebay, and the prices are reasonable. However, I am afraid to jump the gun with an inexpensive purchase if the light fixture will not hold up. Cheers -Craig

all the lamps are very similar in quality. I wouldn't be overly concerned when picking out your lamp, just buy whatever is least expensive.

i have a 110 watt JEBO fixture. if you're looking for a high quality compact fl. fixture, then look elsewhere. however, if youre like me and you wanted something that will hold two compact fl. bulbs and run electricity through them, then look no further. it gets hot, but not hot enough to melt anything.

only problem i see is that the reflector in the hood is blue, so it actually makes my tank look 'dimmer' than my old 60 watt regular fl. hood. go figure. would this have any adverse effect on how much light my plants get? i figure i can gut it and replace that anyway, so no big deal.

Jebo

Well, I broke down and bought a 220w fixture off Ebay for $79.99 + 19.95 to ship, there might be a few left for anyone who wants.....

Hopefully it will do the job, I am on a budget. I also have to get some new bulbs, two of them are going to be actinic, which I understand are somewhat worthless for a planted tank. I'll post a review after it arrives.

So far I now have: 75 gallon tank, 90lbs flourite, 220w Jebo, 80w perfecto strip, submersible heaters, 2 Emperor 400s, glass tops, and a whole lot more research before I get going. Plus, I'm getting stuck housing my brother's fish for three weeks when he moves to his new home.
