Jumping Kuhli loach?

My Ph & ammonia were checked and were perfect. My lfs checks my water for me. I live in town and w/in walking distance. My levels were really high from Sat. - Mon. Tue. (yesterday) when he checked them, they were perfect. Another factor to some problems was that my water temp. got too low (about 62 maybe less). I had to get a new heater. I like to keep the temp. 78-80, but it's been steady at 74. My snail died yesterday too.

I just got 2 powder blue dwarf gouramis yesterday which are very skiddish. My red serpae try to nip their fins, but the gouramis just dart away. Here's what I currently have:

20G:
2 powder blue gouramis
4 zebra danios
4 platys
3 red serpae
2 frogs
1 catfish

Okay, a few things I think may have contributed to a jumper. First, khulis are pretty social. They really need to be in a group to feel comfortable. Second, you may be a bit overstocked for a 20g tank, especially if the catfish is a common pleco. That many fish in the tank, no companions of his kind, and fluctuating water conditions could easily be enough to make a khuli behave erradically and potentially jump.

What kind of frogs do you have? Dwarf africans are okay, though can be tough to feed in a mixed tank. Afrtican clawed frogs will soon be big enough to eat everything else in the tank, though.

I have african dwarf frogs...as far as kind of catfish, I'm not sure. He's about 1" long. I just went to get my water tested for nitrates (1) and nitrates (.20 I think). We've been looking to buy more kuhli loaches but the LFS hasn't gotten any in the last 2 weeks.

Couple of quick points:
1) You mentioned nitrates twice. I assume you meant a reading for nitrites and a separate one for nitrates. If so, you do not have a fully cycled system. There should be zero ammonia/nitrites in a fully cycled tank. Do you know how all of that works? There are probably hundreds of threads here if not. Don't add anymore fish or replace anything until you get this figured out.
2) If the kuhli jumped out, then those frogs can, too. African dwarf frogs are notorious jumpers and must have a fully covered tank. Please trust me on this one. You can also check out the article linked in my sig if you haven't yet.
3) Most fish will jump if given a reason.
