Ok in a few posted replies I've seen it would have "www.aquariumboard.com check it out" so of course I had to go and see what it was, well SUPRISE it was a new updated aquarium central, I've wondered where all the people from this site had gone, been seeing less and less of the folks that always gave well explained advice, walking people through step by step on fixing thier fish problems..no matter how many times they had already answered that same question.."Is this ok, I have 6 bala shark, 7 discus and 2 pl*co in a 10 gallon tank" (this is exagerrated of course) but they would alway's be friendly to the post"er" and let them know "no this is not ok" and THIS is what you need to do to fix the problem..not come back at the person with a I can't believe you could be such a stupid nemrod how dare you buy fish with out research, like some of the posts I've been seeing more and more of lately...well guess what all those "friendly", "helpful" people they are there I couldn't believe all the names I used to see here all the time. Now I'm not saying NO-ONE remaining is not helpful because people are still helpful here and I'm sure I'll alway's come here (I almost felt like a trader even looking there) but it was just so AWWW... daveeka, oringirl, ect.. there you are where have you been I've missed you so much
 
Well do you think everyone left b/c of how everyone is acting at this site anymore? Yes there are some who are still helpful, and don't treat people bad but more times then not it is all negitive reactions instead of corrective helpfulness.

you will find more. The short of it is, the administrator stopped really caring about AC anymore.

Some of the mods were entirely absent, and those that were here were doing double duty to keep this place great. However, some issues can not be handled without the admin. When called upon to help he would not respond for days, weeks, sometimes not at all. Trolls were taking over and there were huge problems with the site going down all the time due to lack of funds (at the time were all out of pocket for the admin.) He asked for donations, we gave money and the problems didn't stop. (where did our money GO?)

A few of the still active mods decided to start a new forum, with more moderators to ensure proper troll controll. Anyone here could go there, still have the same fishy friends, help newcomers to the hobby, and have fun without trolls on a ste that is up for more than 2 weeks a month. Many of us still come here to help, but without proper managment it's not as fun here. I do like being able to bash the idiots though. Not the newbies who don't know better, but the rude smartdonkeys who do know and don't care. Ok so that wasnt that short but oh well, there it is. :dance2:
 
LOL...see I miss post like yours, honest..silly...and in good taste. And yes I have to admit I do have fun skimming through the "troll" post's

I am going to check out the other sites that have all the names I know and love, and Roans also she is so wonderful, but I know I'll still come here there are still some good people here who have been helpful to me. I have never personally been attacked but I feel bad for the new comers who really want advice and get bashed.

That is really to bad about the admin. I was coming here when it was going down, and it really sucked b/c I was trying to get help with something (can't remember now what it was) and one day it was running the next it wasn't then it was I stopped coming for a while and tried other sites but they weren't the same so I came back. I'm sure I'll keep coming back, but I have to go where my fishie friends are and that seems to be the other sites.

I'm going to be setting up 2 new tanks soon and will be needing advice (I kinda need my hand held as I go) :rolleyes:
