Hey everyone. Just want to stopm by and say hi to what seems to be a great forum with tons of useful information.

I am new to the hobby (other than learning the basics by keeping a common clownfish in my roommate's 30 gal aquarium back in college.) Anyway, I am planning on starting up a 46 gallon bow FOWLR within the next month or so (getting some of the necessary equipment over Xmas).

Anyway, I'm sure I'll be back in the regular thread topics once I start having more questions about further equipment and once I get my tank cycled.

re: 46g FOWLR - there's a few of those around here. Research now, and be very specific about what you ask for for xmas - also, do the price shopping for people so they don't overpay & you get more needed stuff!

Yep, I am definitely doing that (otherwise I'd probably end up with the cheapest junk you can find or something :nono: )

So I have most of the stuff I need picked out....still trying to figure out what skimmer to get. I really know nothing about them...
