I just set up my 20L tank, it has 2-3 inchs of live sand for now, about 10lbs live rock and a powerhead.

The power head does 295 gal and hour. That is turning the water over about 15 times per hour. Is that too much? I know that people say to turn it over about 5 times per hour.

Also, how much lighting would be need to keep things like star pylop and mushrooms in that tank?

I have PC lighting on my big reef tank, but wanted to use normal tubes on this one. Do you think one power glow bulb would keep my shrooms alive?

Do feather dusters need light at all? I know they are mainly filter feeders, but should I give them some light too?

Thanks for all your help, Jacob.

That's more than enough turnover. 10X is really the standard but see how you do with that. You may want to rubber band a piece of filter sponge over the intake to slow it down a bit. And this leads to...mushrooms don't like strong current, so you may want to rethink this. And one 20" bulb is what...20 watts? You could probably get away with that if you put the shrooms towards the top. Otherwise you can go for two fixtures with N.O. bulbs, and that would work. And feather dusters don't need light.
