Has anyone used the Juwel Nitrate filter pads and are they any good and if so how often do you still need to change water. This is for a freshwater setup.

I would stay away from NitrAte absorbers. Simply because this is the eaisest pollutant to measure to know when you should be changing your water. The only time I would recomend this is for someone who has high nitrAtes out of the tap. Because if your nitrates are rising faster than you can do waterchanges....you need to lower your stocking level.
But to answer your question...yes the product works BUT its a bandage IMO.
