I have a 26 gallon bowfront and currently one keyhole cichlid. It is fully grown or very close to being so and I want to be able to get a mate, but I am worried that the tank is too small for a pair. Other residents are a farlowella, 1 SA Bumblbee catfish, 6 neons, and a 1.2 cherry barb trio. I love apistos, but I am not sure I want to let go of my little buddy... Is a pair too much?

I do not think it is full grown in a 29gal. They can grow to about 5" long. Yes, I think a 29gal is too small for one, forget about 2. They would need at least a 48" long tank.

He was my only impulse buy and I now regret it.... I guess he'll have to find a new home. Thanks!
