i do agree with this as well. i like to combine the chart and the DC'er to get what i want.the kh ph chart will pretty much get you in the ball park. but you should invest in a drop checker if you're looking to be more accurate

The site clearly states:Yeah, but the problem is that until you know it works for your tank, you don't know if it works for your tank. It doesn't correct either for additional buffers or additional acids. I prefer to measure pH before and after CO2 injection; a fall of around 1 complete point is around 30ppm.
In my case the chart is absolutely useless; it overestimates the CO2 level nearly threefold.
