KH pH & CO2

the kh ph chart will pretty much get you in the ball park. but you should invest in a drop checker if you're looking to be more accurate

It can be way off if you're using peat filtration. My tank should have about 80ppm CO2 according to the chart.

The chart does not calculate for other buffers that may be present in the water. Since there is always some form of buffers in the water, the chart will always be off, but it can be used for a good reference like many have said before me. I use this chart with good results.

Yeah, but the problem is that until you know it works for your tank, you don't know if it works for your tank. It doesn't correct either for additional buffers or additional acids. I prefer to measure pH before and after CO2 injection; a fall of around 1 complete point is around 30ppm.

In my case the chart is absolutely useless; it overestimates the CO2 level nearly threefold.

The site clearly states:
NOTE: This calculator (and the chart based on this formula) will only work if your water is carbonate buffered.

since your tank isn't carbonate buffered...(it is buffered by peat)...then yes, this chart wont work for you. hope you actually read the page and didnt just look for the chart.
