The last few weeks I have had to unplug/wait/and plug in my Koralia 1, sometimes several times to get it running properly. Seems to happen when we lose power or even have a brownout. No big deal but seems weird and was wondering if anyone else had ever experienced this with theirs.

It's a European thing....very common. Just unplug and plug back in until it starts going in the right direction.

Motors not produced in the US do not have to have the "gizmos" to assure that they only run in one direction. Therefore it is hit or miss if this european motor will go in the right direction.

Euro is 50Hz us is 60Hz, and the product sold in the us is actually build for 50Hz?

I don't know if that could be the reason. Usually if you try to run something on 60hz that is rated for 50hz the item would try draw more current and then burn out. ( that is what I have heard anyway).
