I never realized how hardy these little guys are till a month ago. I had moved from PA to OH. I fortunately had a spare tank that I was able to set up in the mean time so that I had a properly cycled tank set up when I returned home to pick up my fish. I have a pair of Kribs a syno of some sort (can't identify it maybe when I get the digital cam out of its box I'll take a picture and post it on here) and a bristle nose plec in a 30 gallon. Brought them here and put them in the same size tank. I figured the cats would survive the 7 hour trip. But I had readied myself in the event my kribs died on me on the trip back here to Ohio. The greatest thing is now that they are in the tank here. They are thriving so much better then they did back home. In fact I think the female may be gravid (sp?) as she is nice and plump compared to what she was when she was back in Pennsylvania. I just thought I'd remark at how remarkable these little guys are in their health and vibrancy.

(Edit: for those who may be thrown into confusion I moved back in May and just a month ago was able to get back to my old home. Also for those of you wondering yes the water params are correct in my tank)

That's great news! Glad you got them home safely. There must be something in your water she likes more :).

Kribs are one of the best fish in my opinion my new female I got a month or so back has to be selectively breed she’s a tiger of a girl she killed my female convict who was twice her size

It might be worth the drive down to the Aquarium Adventure in I think Mason, Ohio. It's just north of Cinci.

Aquarium Adventure

I've never been to the one down there, but it is huge and the selection will blow the doors f Jack's.

I definetly would make the trip to Mason as well. I live in Columbus and am fortunate enough to have an AA like 5 mins away from my house (depending on how fast I drive :thud: ) Like mooman said it will blow jacks out of the water

Kribs

she looks plump full of eggs to me........good luck.........you will enjoy watching the parents herding the fry around the tank in search of food. After they are free swimming, of course.

I Really Do Need To Get A Male Krib Again So Shes Can Lay Those Eggs Poor Fish Looks Like A Blimp

Aquarium Adventure? It would be great to find a location that offers a wide variety again. When I was living in PA i was fortunate enough to be with in decent driving distance from That Fish Place. Any of you in the York or Lancaster, PA area know what I'm talking about.
