Has anyone ever had these fish live successfully together? I thought since my tank is 130G the corys may be ok?

I've had all three together in a 55g before with no problems.

The only problem I had was that my rams spawned and the cory ate the eggs but other than that there weren't any problems at all.

The rule of thumb I've read here and there was 1 pair per 24 inches of width, but I don't know how much that really matters. Just be prepared to remove an aggressive couple if necessary.

ok. thx. I was going to get 1 more cory to be a "friend" with the one I already have, is this a good idea if I get the kribs and rams or should I just keep one cory.

i would not put the two species, as pairs, together in the same tank. kribs will whup a german rams butt at spawning times.

Ok. thx. I just have to decide what I want, Kribs or Rams! 2 bad I couldn't have both.... hhhmmm, tough choice. :read:

In a 130 gallon tank there is plenty of space for both species (even though your tank measurements seem a little odd... is this a cube tank?). I have kept a pair of kribs in a 20 gallon(!!) with both an angel and a ram. Granted there were not two pairs in there, they were all still fine together even when the kribs spawned.

Just make sure to provide lots of hiding places, driftwood, plants, rocks, etc for your fish and they will be fine!

And corys are social fish, they feel most comfortable in schools. I would get at least 5 cories. :)

Sounds good to me! Where I put the tank, the area will only fit the dimensions of the tank so it had to be custom built. It is definitely a focus point and an eye stopper. I get EXCELLENT reviews on it. Here are some attachments. It's hard to get a good shot of the clowns, my avatar was the best shot so far.

My bolvian rams pick on my cories sometimes. During feeding especially. they peck at the cories and i suspect they may have pecked at their barbels too cuz they just mysteriously lose them.
