I'm trying to cut down on my Malasian trumpet snail population without getting any clown loaches. The yoyos don't seem to be making a dent. I had some zucchini in there this week and you should have seen them. :eek3:

Today I spotted some kulhi loaches, so I thought, why not. Bought five.

I'm reading that they eat them and that they do not.

Anyone have experience with this?

Kuhlis do not eat snails, not even MTS. Dojos, kuhlis and hillstreams are the only loaches I have tested that do not eat snails. If I were you, cut back on feeding and remove every MTS you can find.

I feed once a day, if that. Sometimes every other day.

Start removing the adults before juveniles although I'd just remove every snail I see to control the population better anyway.;)

I guess it will have to come to that. I hate sticking my arm in the tank. I guess I'll get some romaine for bait this weekend.

These little guys are so cute. They love my plants.

Are they jumpers? I don't want another Libby situation.

If you're referring to kuhlis, yes, they are just like other fish although given the numerous hiding places, they don't jump even in an open-topped tank.
