L E D lights

I would like to slip a couple of led lights into my light system.I don't want super bright just a little blue light I can turn on sometimes at night. I need some instructions for wiring or some pre-made lights that operate on 115VAC or possibly off the fluorescent light transformer.

Any ideas?

I made some from automobile Taillight PCB's.
LED's use DC voltage, since the PCB's already had the resistors on them all I had to do was supply a 12v ac/dc adapter.

I don't have any links for you right now, but there are lots of articles on the forums for different designs.

There is also a guy on E-Bay that makes LED strips.
They're really nice and seem fairly affordable. (Again, no link-sorry)

you can either buy a pre-built light strip or make one yourself.

you'll need a good steady AC to DC power converter that matches the specs of the LED's you choose.

If you're going for a moonlight look, I try and match the moon's natural light wavelength (around 475nm).

LEDs are rather easy to wire, depeding on your power supply, you may need a resistor, other than that wire them all in parallel and you're done.

Not trying to duplicate moonlight. Just something for me to use on occasion for nights when I can't sleep and want to watch the fish.

I wish i could get a good pic of my night time lighting...
the whole projest was $20... the undercabinet lighting came with an AC adapter and a switch, I just mounted the pucks, and attached the wires...
