Lucky you! Why do people feel the need to talk trash on the classifieds section? I think its a good deal for a nice looking pleco, but then again I must not know what I'm talking about.:devil:
yeah bro, I'm sure its an L129. I would post pics but I gave it to a friend who just got his tank established.
they are commonly sold in ny pet stores for 5-10 dollars each but they arent very common in other places. im sure if they are rare they would sell for more which may be the case for stores outside of big cities. one thing i noticed over the years is that ny, florida, and cali have the lowest prices on live aquatics. it may be because they are all located near large international airports(less shipping once in america), or maybe they high volume of buyers in overcrowded cities. i think $20 is a fair price for an older and full grown healthy clown pleco, especially if they are uncommon to that area.
1st I want to say thanks for all the attention to my listing and next I would like to say thank you to jaysen. I would have to say that around my area, these are not common at all. I have never seen one until the one that I currently own and the lfs didn't know what it was just a striped pleco, is what they called it and said it was a mistake in ordering and my cost was $50.00 I talked them down to $30. when he was a tiny thing. Then did research and found out that he wasn't going to be a giant and was a little disappointed, but he turned into a beautiful lil man. I didn't get mad at the lfs either, I just get even. When they get stuff in and don't know nothing about it I research and make deals for myself, HEHE. Bad Ain't I.
