Well, I got two small land hermit crabs each shell less than an inch in length. One is larger than the other but lost one of his legs. The problem was that the each kept competing for the corners of the plastic cage. The smaller one, having all legs, was much faster and got to the conrners faster. When he would get to a corner he started submerging himself into the sand. Then the larger one got there and push away the smaller one and did the same thing. They cycle repeated for a good thirty minutes until the smaller one gave up and started digging next to the larger one. Ten minutes later he got up, moved to the dried sea fan and dug himself into the sand. I had only gotten them yesterday and they are small as compared to the others at the store. Are they molting? They had whitish skin so I thought they were getting ready to molt. Please help.

since they seem aggressive to each other, get to caves or other shelters for them to molt in if you dont have them already.
