Large Aquarium

Why not keep it reef? I would with that big of a tank. Look at this similar sized tank... its how I would want a SW tank. This guy knows what to do with tanks  -> http://www.oregonreef.com/sub_aquascaping.htm
Sure, the lights, protein skimmer and water+electricity bills may be a problem, but thats what it takes. You'd probably end up spending another 2-4 thousand for metal halides and all the other good stuff.

I am green with envy It will be amasing once set up. A reef tank I agree would look so amazing....on the other hand I think I would have a heart attack at the cost. Either way please post pics if you can. A photo diary of your tank set up, would be truley awsome.

Weighing in at a minimum of 3.75 tons more like 4+tons, the only floor you could put that on would be on a re-enforced concrete slab.
If your in a house with a basement and the mainfloor is concrete (not wood joist) it would doubtless need to re-enforced from below.
No home built to ordinary code/standard is built to support that kind'a weight.

I have a contractor coming next week, i do have concrete flooring in my basement but ideally I would like to display it in my family room.
