Large community fish

Not to mention, cost a fortune.

You have no idea...

Overheard from a recent visit to my LFS:

woman:$80 FOR A %^&*@#! FISH!?!
clerk: Yes, but its a discus, a very beautiful fish.
woman: BUT ITS JUST A $%#^&*! FISH!
clerk: (sigh...)

I invest in cd's and mutual funds, not FISH!

Had a tetra and a pleco that lived together for over 12 years. So 2.5 is nothing for that little guy.

Good luck! Mine was a hardy lil devil. We inherrited (sp?) the tank, I don't think the water had been changed in years. I cleaned it up, added fish, and that Tetra would not accept any "newcomers" into the tank. So back down to just the Tetra & the pleco. I cried the day the pleco died- he was huge considering the environment he had been in, his name was Grandpa!

Well, after the shark eats the small fish you'll have room for large fish. Until then, many use silver dollars and tinfoil barbs, both of which can clear a tank of plants but often don't eat fish until they're quite large.
