Large indoor pond/river-like project HELP needed

We have planned it a little differently recently......

(dots are just for filling the spaces out to prevent reformatting of blank spaces)

i thought it would be way easier to build it all squared up like that instead of the first rounder idea.

I am still puzzled what material I will be using....... polyurethane is expensive and so is fiberglass. I haven't checked for prices yet but that's what I have been told.

As for fishes that will be put in, I am not too much worried about that, I will decide which species I put together in there when time comes.

Best material would be concrete block with a decorative capping, the concrete would have to be sealed to prevent leaching - epoxy coatings are typically used for this. An alternative would be decorative stone/concrete block, the kind used for retaining walls, along with EPDM 40mil rubber liner - I only suggest this because the depth is only max 24". Yet another alternative would be 2"x6" wood stud frame with 1" plywood - but I would be hesitant to use this because of the shape.

Talk to any building supply sales rep about pricing and amount needed.

Re: bottom/side drains,... yes by all means if you can incorporate them then do so - for this design 4 to 5 would be ideal.
