I am getting things in order to get a 60 gal tank ($20) and a, knock on wood, free aquarium stand for my rescue fish. I am looking at lighting and found some reasonably priced (under $50) LED aquirium lights on ebay. Has anyone had any experience with these? Will this just be a waste of money. Seem I could attach them to the underside of a glass lid. Your thoughts are appreciated.

you mean for Lunar Light or day light? I got some prewired blue LED's from there for like $8, to use for night lights in the tank

As said above look around some more. IMO $50 sounds a little high. You can build your own for less than that.

P.S. Nice find on a 60 gallon tank for $20

yeah, $50 is not a great price on a light. Look around on craigslist, or other fishkeepers or stuff like that, you should be able to find one for way less than $50. I used to pick them up for 5-10 at my local aquarium society auction
