I think it's come kind of deep sea anglerfish but man....it's not much of a looker

I hunt oddballs (none now. Inthe past I have owned: electricatfish, yo-yos, dragonfish, farowellas, african butterfly, elephant nose, blue cray pike cichlids and a few more I can not remember at the moments) and like to have interesting things that knowone has, at least for a few miles. I think that one of the best things about keeping these exotics is to have someone look at the tank and say "What the he!! is that!!!?!???!" or "Oh, my god, it moved!!". I think all the fish pics youve shown are great looking fish, exept for that boxfish wich looks like a decaying piece of raw meat that an animal has chewed on. About the dyed bloodparrot thing, why dye bloods, especially sence they have great color to begin with.

DreamingAloud , can you find any more info on that prehistoric "monster" fish?

I was wandering around the net and saw this fish. Here I found this called freshwater-stone fish (really brackish) and I can give it the prize in the Ugly contest.

Actually, I don't think this guy is ugly at all. He kinda reminds me of one of the Muppets. Elmo without a nose, sorta :p

It looks like a monkfish. They're good eating (tail and liver only), just ask anyone from down east. Er, down east Canada -- PEI, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland.

It's a coastal angler, btw.

We need a Bill the Cat emoticon. A "thfffpt" isn't a "thfffpt" without Bill the Cat!
