My 2 gold dojo loaches are inseparable was just wondering about their breeding habits in how they chose a mate i do know you need cooler water to breed though let me know what you think. :feedback:
You probably should get a couple more. Loaches are very social. I had two clown loaches without knowing what I was doing. They hid most of the time and when they were out it was like the smaller one was glued to the other. I finally rehomed them with someone who had a huge tank and 5 clowns about the same size. He sent me a pic and they look really happy and much more normal swimming with the pack than when they were alone. It made me feel better about giving them away.
Dojo loaches should not be kept with kuhlis and botias, they need lower temperatures and shouldn't be kept above 75F. The others need temperatures of around 78-82F. They also need groups of their own kind, other aren't really enough.
