Just bought it from the city near me (2 hour drive) Any comments/suggestions on how to reduce the flowrate it seems it creates a very strong flowrate for my 17g and any suggestions on what to use as filter/filter cartridge it did'nt come with one so im thinking of Doing DIY or just Directly buying a spongefilter to connect with it.

Bump!
Anyone know how to reduce the Flowrate; i solved the "Filter media" Question i just attached a Sponge Filter to It and it works nicely!

You could try attaching a sponge to the return as well or checking out one of those Hydor Rotating Flo deflectors. I used to run some of the AP1500s on my 100G tank, their GPH was around 350...so the 1200s should be around 250-300. But they do have a very strong return due to the pressure of all that water going into that thin return nozzle.

Thanks!
Thats what i did atm i attached a Sponge Filter to it and used its PVC pipe to reduce the Flow of the Powerhead.
