I just put in 2 screw in flouresant bulbs to replace by 15w tubler incandesants. The new bulbs are equal to a 40w regualr bulb. The tank looks great and is very bright, I'm just wondering if this is too much light in my 10 gallon for the fish.

It should be fine for your fish especially if you have a few caves or hideouts where fish can get some peace if they want. You could also add a few live plants. The screw in flourescents are quite popular for smaller planted tanks.
