I am looking at buying some new lighting for my 75 Gallon tank. As of right now i have 160 watts of t-12 lighting just regular shop lights. I am looking to upgrade to T-5 HO lighting. I have pressurized CO2, Aquariumplants.com Substrate(soil master plus from what i am told), Rena Filstar XP3 and a H.O.t Magnum 350(getting rid of because all the bubbles) probably going to get another Rena filster XP3 to replace it.
and the plants are
Cryptocoryne crispatula
Crinum aquatica
Crinum Calimastratum
Anubias Congensis
Cryptocoryne parva
Zephyranthes candida
Microsorium pteropus

And alot of algae

I think i have all the right stuff for a successful tank expert the lighting. That is the only thing that is not up to par. Except my knowledge of planted tanks which i am working on. I am going to post a picture of the tank after i first planted it it looks pretty much the same expert the plants are bigger and have brown algae on them. I am dosing aquariumplants.com fertilizer 2 times a week(going with there dosing regime which is not working as planned) and do weekly water changes. perimeters of the water are all normal nitrate i try to keep at 20ppm.

might want to switch to ei and dose dry ferts. over 20 on your nitrates is fine.

2 bulbs full length should be fine whatever fixture you choose to use. just make sure it includes single lense reflectors (slr).

I have all the dry ferts i was just trying there guaranteed dosing regime. I have had planted tanks before but never with much luck so i thought i would try someone Else's total program so that is why i went with Aquarium plants guaranteed program. I bought everything from them and did exactly what they said with the same results as usually.

Fishneedit.com has some good fixtures for a good price. But, it's a "you get what you pay for" type of deal. The fixtures themselves aren't great looking but it's easy to pimp it out.
