Hey all, Ive been qt-ing my two clownfish the last couple of days due to a white spot I saw on the female. When I first saw the spot, I brought her to the LFS but they couldnt see it there. Brought her back home, it was there again. NOw in the qt, i cant see the white spot. The lights in the qt are substantially less bright than my reef tank. Ive been treating the fish with Rid Ich which is malchalite green and fomalin mix. Just found out that these are toxic, which makes me question my hasty qt moves. I really hope Im not putting them thru too much stress, they seem fine tho. any thoughts?

They are quite harsh methods of medication, however, if your fish are healthy, besides the white spot, they should be fine as long as you follow the directions on the med bottle...

thx for the responses, the medication with this is kinda of confusing me. first, the instructions state to medicate an additional three days after visible signs (white spot) are gone. I cant see the white spot in the qt tank as the lights are much "dimmer" (they came with the 10g set up kit). Second, treating for only 3 days after white spot is gone seems contrary to lots of information Ive seen recently. Is that becuz they were referring to main tank treatment?
