Okay, this is probably going to sound strange, but I am wondering if anyone out there has an idea for what I could use to light a Marineland Eclipse Explorer two gallon tank? The aquarium has no lighting whatsoever, and I would really like to add some if possible. I am just not sure how to go about it.

Are there small fixtures out there that would work with an Eclipse Explorer tank?

After looking this up on a websight I believe that your tank is a rectangular measureing about 11'' x 5'' x11''. Given that Fosters and Smith has a 12" flourescent strip, but I'm not sure that will sit on top of your tank properly. One option you might want to look into is from Home Depot or an equivalent. What you would be looking for is a cabinet light. I believe some of those are made small enough to sit on top of your aquarium and could be made to look reasonably natural on there. They generally contain low wattage flourescents that should light that small tank quite well.

Hi, Im getting an eclipse explorer from a friend. Upon examination, alot of websites sell the Eclipse Explorer II and it says it does include a light. What I got was a plastic cover taht goes over the filter? Is there some kind of screen in front? In the manual it refers to it as a skylight, do you have this?
Thanks
