LED lights are amazing.. they are gonna change reefing as we know it

Actually, depending on the optics being used and the depth of the tank, about the same PAR output as a metal halide lamp.
I'd say that yes, they might be worth the money, depending on the price. Any more than $50-$100 a strip is too much, heck, I think that $100 a strip is too much.
