Lighting question

I have a 10g octagon tank that has green hygrophilia grown under natural sunlight for 3 years. But now that I've added a few more plants (mostly require low light) to make the tank look more interesting, I thought perhaps I need to add some artificial lighting as well.

When i bought the tank it comes with a 30cm light reflector with a 8W aqua-glo tube as a package. The reflector is supposed to sit on top of the aquarium glass cover but unforturnately I accidentally broke the glass top 2 years ago :( . So now the reflector is sitting on one side of the tank where the slanted sides are supporting it.

I'm considering the following options to make the light more evenly distributed around the tank:

1) get a glass top replacement ;);
2) replace reflector with a work lamp fitted with a 11W fluorescent tube;
3) replace reflector with a incandescent work lamp fitted with a compact fluorescent bulb

Both work lamps have adjustable arms so I can get the light as close to the tank as possible...

Which would be a better option? Thanks for any recommendation.
