I am looking for some advice/suggestions on upgrading our lighting on a 55 gallon low-tech freshwater planted aquarium. Right now we are using one finned ray2 and one current usa. This is our first ever planted tank, and it has been up for almost a year. Although I feel like we have learned a lot, and are getting the hang of things, lighting is still confusing to me. I have tried reading more about it, but I admit, I get overwhelmed! Just looking at some of the articles makes me feel like a complete dummy. I would like to have lighting that would be sufficient for med to high light plants, and possibly adding a CO2 system, in the future. Would adding another finnex ray2, or even finnex planted+ be enough light? If not, can anyone suggest a good LED light for us?
