I may have to have to have one of the local petstores special order them or something, but I thought I would ask here first. Does anyone know where I can get (3) 24" and (1) 48" fluorescent bulb for freshwater plant growth? Would be willing to buy new ones from someone on here depending on the shipping or through a company. I am just having the Dickens of a time finding them.

Thanks

Foster and smith did not have plant bulbs in T12 diameter, but I am checking the others, thanks for the help.

I've had good luck with this seller on Amazon when I was looking for GE Aquaray.

This is the link to their website with bulbs info.

I was told the GE plant bulbs like from Walmart didn't have all the spectrum colors necessary to grow plants well aren't these the same sort of bulbs? I would prefer to get these from the same place if possible and all teh 24" ones appear to be high output ones. Just want to make sure.

Ken's fish doesn't have any T12 from what I can tell on there categories of light bulbs.

Coralife TRICHROMATIC Fluorescent

Does any other the coralife work for freshwater plant? Because some of them come in T12.

what spectrum are you looking for?

Not sure I am fairly new to planted aquariums and the guy at the store sold me a zoo med flora-sun that he said would work well for plant growth not sure what spectrum it is, but I was told that the ones in Walmart only have a couple of the light spectrum necessary to grow plants.

i have used the philips daylight deluxe bulbs. i would save your self the money go over to home depot lowes and look for some daylight bulbs. the tank will look better they will grow plants and you will save your self some money.

look on the bulb and put the info here from the 24 inch ones. so we know what kind of bulb you have. i am guessing t5 ho?

Yup. Lowes has T12 and T8 6500K Daylight bulbs. Not sure if they have it in 24" but they do have the 48". I recently purchased a box of 10 48"
