Live 8

If I recall correctly, one of my professors once said that if you were lucky enough to choose what your next meal would be, that you were a part of only 10% of people in the world who can say the same. It's sad. We have people going hungry in our rich country, people starving all over the world. Yet there *is* an abundance of food for the time being.

I've linked this before, but I feel it pertinent again. Seriously, check it out...

Huh. I must have missed something in that story then- It was AP I think. I wonder why they were complaining then. On a side note- I think that is a great charity and I'm glad you reposted it Leo.
edit- actually, I think I heard it on the BBC. but I guess it's not important as it's evidently not true or I misunderstood.

I'm just a little peaved that Canadian television didn't show so many good artists that played during the London Live 8... I've been waiting my whole life to see Floyd reunited with Roger Waters, and after the second song, they cut it and went back to the canadian one... Which kinda sucked.

it;s OK though, I managed to find a dvd quality of the four songs they played on the net. . . woohoo... and it was awesome.. Roger seemed so happy playing with his old buds again. gilmour's still got the magic... And it was really nice of Roger to mention Syd Barret during the intro of wish you were here. . .

I can't believe paul McCartney though... it was a charity event, and he told the organisers that he would only play if he opened up live 8, and if he was the closing act as well. With all the great bands playing that day, i thought that was very disrespectful and arrogant of him to do...

And I'm a huge beatle's fan too!!!...
