Live foods make fish more aggressive?

Just a quick question here. Im thinking of feeding LIVE brine shrimp to my fish (as a way for the fish to work for their food...and I think They will have some fun). I feed frozen now...but a little difference in life can help :) Will this make them more aggressive? Especially my 8 inch Albino tinfoils.. I do have smaller fish that are 1 inch. All the other fish are to small to eat the 1 inch fish. I dont want the tionfoils to start to think that their companions are food not living partners...... Thanx

Live foods make predators and fish with a tendency to be aggressive more so. However, with peaceful fish, live brine shrimp won't make much of a difference. Also, having predatory tankmates which regularly much feeders can change alot. I had a silver dollar who was kept with some juvenile peacock bass, and, after a short while, the SD would chase down feeders just like the bass....
 
IMHO. live brine is more for exercise and enticing new fish to eat than it is for nutrition. Unless you gut-load it a day or two at home prior to use.

I've never noticed any significant change in aggression from its use, but do remember that I don't do "community" tanks - most of mine are species tanks, with little or small size differences between specimens other than Cichlid pairs with offspring.
 
i would tend to think some live food would add to aggressions.... maybe not shrimp, but feeder fish....... the fish get used to and learn to expect it, so anything small you put in the tank after that would be at definate risk.
 
yeah it does make them mad
 
the only way to make them more aggressive would be to keep them very hungry and force them to always fight over too-small amounts of food.
